Parent–School Communication Policy

Effective communication between parents and the school plays an important role in supporting the academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being of students. At Sri Vinayaka Convent (SVC), we believe that a strong partnership between parents and educators helps create a positive and supportive learning environment. Regular interaction allows parents to stay informed about their child’s progress, school activities, and important updates related to academic and co-curricular development.

To ensure clarity, transparency, and consistency in all communication, the school follows a structured Parent–School Communication Policy. This policy outlines the appropriate channels and guidelines through which parents and the school can exchange information, discuss student progress, and address concerns in a respectful and organized manner. Through this approach, SVC aims to maintain effective communication that supports the overall growth and success of every student.

The school communicates with parents only through the following authorised channels:

  • School Diaries
  • Circulars and written notices
  • Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs)
  • Official WhatsApp groups managed by the school
  • Notices displayed on the school notice board and official website

Communication may include information related to:

  • Academic progress and assessments
  • Attendance, discipline, and behaviour
  • School activities, events, and programmes
  • Instructions, guidelines, and announcements

Parents are requested to:

  • Regularly check the school diary and official messages
  • Attend scheduled Parent-Teacher Meetings
  • Communicate concerns respectfully through proper channels
  • Avoid relying on unofficial or informal sources of information

Parents seeking appointments with teachers or school authorities are requested to:

  • Follow the prescribed procedure
  • Meet during designated working hours
  • Avoid classroom interruptions during instructional hours

All parents and guardians are expected to adhere to this policy to ensure a positive, respectful, and productive school environment.
